UL/UEC is looking for a Senior Strategy Manager. This job is grade Hay 20.
Based at our Paddington site, you’ll act as a thought leader and coach within the Strategy and Corporate Development function, supporting the Head of Department in shaping and implementing the Group Strategic Plan. Ensure cross-functional and global collaboration to generate and progress opportunities for Urenco, and to monitor/drive associated activities, targets and outcomes to ensure delivery. Bring external expertise and a broad portfolio of experience to challenge traditional approaches and ways of working to help transform Urenco.
What you’ll do:
- Execute on multiple strategy or corporate development projects in parallel, prioritising in line with the business strategy and ensuring that internal resource is lined up to support on the projects (without having line management responsibility for that resource)
- Coach others to develop their strategic thinking and strategy toolkit, both within the function and in the broader business
- Manage senior stakeholders and communicate with a broad range of internal and external partners, including independently discussing strategic issues with C-Suite level
- Provide strategic challenge for business leaders whilst maintaining a constructive and collaborative approach
- Act as a source of expertise available to either execute, support, manage and/or drive key strategic projects forward
- Drive deal structuring, transaction management and engagement with external advisors in M&A processes
What do you need to thrive in this role?
- · Project management and execution (essential)
- · Previous experience in a Tier One strategy consultancy, or equivalent experience in Corporate Strategy or Financial Services (essential)
- · Competency in strategic and analytical thinking; theory and practice (essential)
- · Interpersonal and cross-cultural team-working and collaboration skills (essential)
- · Demonstrate experience and ability in influencing senior management and managing conflict effectively
- · Expertise in due diligence/M&A processes and delivery
