Plant Performance Analyst

Asset Performance is part of Asset Management that provides a link between the strategic decision of the company and the resulting activities on the production sites and their operation. Procurement Engineer

Summary of Responsibilities

The Procurement Engineer oversees the purchasing of technical goods and services for Urenco USA.  The Procurement Engineer has very detailed knowledge of the equipment, materials and supplies used in Urenco USA processes, systems and components.  They will be responsible for evaluating suppliers and negotiate purchase agreements with them, as well as maintain the inventory of supplies.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5 or more years of experience as a procurement engineering.  Strong knowledge of structural engineering is a plus.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or other related science or technical field.
  • Five years of related experience, preferably in an industrial or nuclear facility is required.

A Professional Engineer (PE) license obtained by accredited examination is a plus.

Engineer - Nuclear Criticality Safety

Independently perform analysis and design activities in support of the facility, engineering programs and projects. Utilizing basic and advanced engineering fundamentals, as assigned, perform owner acceptance reviews of design packages developed by design agencies. Perform other engineering activities required to support facility design, configuration control, and operation.

Job Requirements

All candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to work independently, strong planning, analytical and scheduling skills, a demonstrated ability to think strategically, as well as to navigate both the formal and informal networks at URENCO to accomplish assigned tasks, and the ability to effectively work and cooperate with a team and as part of a team to accomplish tasks.

Required

  • ANSI/ANS-8.26 Qualification.
  • Criticality Safety and/or integrated safety analysis experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • 5 years of related work experience.

Preferred

  • A Master’s Degree or PhD from an accredited college or university in Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License obtained by accredited examination.
  • Eight or more years of related work experience: of which 2 years’ experience is in a nuclear facility.
  • Monte Carlo Computer code experience (MCNP or MONK preferred).
  • Experience in a 10 CFR part 70 facility.
  • Integrated safety analysis experience is a plus.

Net Zero Project Manager

Summary of Responsibilities

Urenco USA is seeking a knowledgeable and committed individual to lead the site’s commitment to achieve net zero carbon in advance of 2040.  The primary responsibilities are to lead the net zero delivery at the site level and coordinate site net zero contributions to the overall organization.  The role will coordinate and lead net zero progress on site by liaising with work stream leaders to understand site requirements and site progress towards established targets as well as how the site is progressing and contributing to overall organizational net zero targets upholding Urenco’s refreshed sustainability strategy.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Energy/Engineering/Environment/Sustainability/Biological Sciences or a related field.  MBA or Masters in a related field is desirable.  IEMA, or similar certification is a plus.
  • 5+ years working in energy management systems (nuclear, or chemical industrial environment or in commercial power markets) developing compelling business cases for sustainability investments and delivering carbon management programs.
  • Proven experience leading initiatives and measuring impact across a diverse set of energy procurement activities and stakeholders related to renewable energy generation, transmission, energy storage and sustainability projects in the energy/utilities industry.
  • 5+ years in program management or project management.  PMP certification is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in energy transactions, policy development, contract negotiations, investment models and/or energy project finance.
  • 3+ years working across graphically dispersed teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed to efficiently and effectively communicate via phone, computer or in person.
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity is necessary to inspect plant equipment for leaks or other visible flaws and operate plant equipment.
  • Experience with carbon data, environmental attribute programs, green tariffs, utility scale renewable project development and systems.
  • The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem solving skills.
