We are a leading uranium enrichment company, providing the enrichment step of fuel production for nuclear power plants.

We have operations in the Netherlands, Germany, the UK and the USA, and this gives us the expertise, security of supply and the ability to manage market and geopolitical risks.

We supply almost every country that uses nuclear energy and have operated for more than 50 years.

We are owned by the governments of the UK and the Netherlands and two Germany utility companies (RWE and E-on). Each country holds a third of the ownership.

While all four of our sites enrich uranium up to 5% for standard low-enriched uranium (LEU), our US and UK sites are leading our work on the next generation of fuels, known as advanced fuels, which involve uranium enriched from 5% up to 20%.

Through our Urenco Isotopes business in the Netherlands, we use our centrifuge technology for a variety of industrial and medical purposes, such as nuclear medicine, and for some of the most innovative and cutting-edge science and technology, including quantum computing applications.
