Technical Export Control
Reporting to the Senior Compliance Manager, the Technical Export Controller will manage and advice to the projects within UTD on all export matters, to ensure all Urenco UTD projects are complying to the required export regulations.
The main areas of responsibility will include:
Acting as a point of authority for resolving export control determination issues
Delivering and submitting new export license applications (including via SPIRE), for certain exports of goods and technology by the organisation
Ensuring the organisation complies to technology export licences
Providing expertise and advice in present and newly to be established export control licences
Managing the Export Control knowledgebase, classification records
Maintaining and developing the internal export control policies and procedures, including internal processes required to ensure ongoing compliance
Delivering timely, accurate and professional advice to the internal customer community. Proactively participating in projects where export control advice is required
Providing comprehensive export control training packages for UK personnel
Contributing to the organisation wide Export Control working group
Supporting the Group Export Control Manager on ECI matter
We are now looking for an individual who can make a difference and add value to our existing team. The following skills and experience will provide an indication of the types of team players we are looking for:
Technical degree or relevant qualifications
Experience in communicating with regulatory bodies
Experience of working within the energy or nuclear sector as well as having an understating of export control license applications within the UK (desirable)
Ability to read technical diagrams and drawings
Self-motivated and driven with the ability to manage and complete assignments
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite – including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Conversant in business English
