We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our UTD entity. Based at our Capenhurst site you’ll accountable for Urenco’s project delivery capabilities across the capital portfolio. You will create, implement and guide junior members of the project management team in developing project definitions, schedules, budgets, and objectives for medium to large sized projects of moderate or greater complexity. The position covers the full project lifecycle from project set up, initiation, through Implementation and closure, ensuring business benefits are realized and delivered

What you’ll do:

• Have overall responsibility for the delivery of Projects to meet safety, scope, cost, schedule and Business benefits objectives
• Communicate strategy, objectives and benefits to business unit and group whilst implementing the operational strategy to achieve maximum business benefit.
• Develop a high-performance team, fostering and enhancing owner relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
• Ensure Urenco’s commercial position is protected through the application of industry best practice in contracting strategies, supplier selection, procurement, contract negotiation and contract management.
What do you need to thrive in this role?
• Extensive experience being fully accountable and actively leading EPC projects as a PM.
• Demonstrate experience across the entire project life cycle from concept development to hand-over.
• Project Management Qualifications such as APM or PMI
• Technical experience in Engineering
• Demonstrable ability to build high performing teams

Security vetting

Due to the nature of the industry that Urenco operates in, all personnel regardless of employment status working for Urenco are required to obtain security clearance at the level required for their role. Security clearances are assessed in accordance with regulations and official guidance issued by the relevant competent authorities for national security vetting. In certain circumstances, additional enhanced security clearance considerations apply to roles within Urenco owing to the particular activities that the Urenco Group undertakes in relation to uranium enrichment. Successful candidates will need to satisfy security requirements, and all offers of appointment are made subject to the successful approval of all checks initiated.
