Capenhurst Graduate Engineer Programme
Our Capenhurst Graduate Engineering Programme is designed to develop the next generation of Chartered Engineers at Urenco.
From day one, you’ll be employed in a permanent role and supported through a four-year structured graduate programme designed to guide you on your route to chartership. You’ll develop your technical capability, professional judgement, and understanding of working in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment. 

We have graduate roles in the following engineering disciplines:
Control and Instrumentation
Electrical
Mechanical
Process
Civil
How the programme works
Years One-Two: Rotational Development
You will work across our Enrichment, Chemical Processing and Waste and Decommissioning facilities, building broad technical knowledge, understanding how complex systems work and developing strong foundations in safety, quality and risk-based decision-making. You will also get the opportunity to spend rotations in our Security, Health and Safety, and Safety Case teams to broaden your knowledge of the work that takes place across the site.
Years three-four: Project-based development
You will move into more focused, project-based Resource Engineer roles, taking increased responsibility for engineering tasks, applying your learning and continuing to build the evidence required for professional registration.	
Your rotations, projects, mentoring and ongoing reviews are designed to help you build experience and evidence to support your progression towards chartership.
Who we are looking for
Graduates with a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant discipline
A minimum of 2:1 degree classification
A commitment to developing as a professional engineer and working to high technical and ethical standards.
