Appointment of UUSA Managing Director

Urenco’s Chief Operating Officer, Bridget Sparrow is pleased to announce the appointment of John Kirkpatrick as UUSA’s Managing Director (MD).

Urenco’s Chief Operating Officer, Bridget Sparrow is pleased to announce the appointment of John Kirkpatrick as UUSA’s Managing Director (MD). John joined UUSA in October of 2023 as the Head of Enrichment and has served as the Interim Managing Director since April of this year.

John has over 35 years of nuclear experience and brings a wealth of industry knowledge, expertise, and leadership to our team. Prior to joining UUSA, he served as the Entergy Corporate Plant Reliability Team Leader, Plant Manager at Arkansas Nuclear One Power Plant, and Plant Manager at Indian Point Power Plant. In addition, he has held leadership roles in regulatory assurance, maintenance, performance improvement, and outage management. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Natural Sciences and Mathematics from Thomas Edison State College as well as certifications for Senior Reactor Operator, INPO management courses, and from the Harvard School of Public Health.
