National Icon 2016
21 October 2016 Local Urenco NederlandOn Tuesday 18 October, Ligthouse by ASML has been named National Icon 2016. Stable Isotopes, a division of Urenco Nederland, has been closely involved in the Lighthouse project from the beginning and has contributed actively to the development program. Lighthouse focusses on the production of the important medical radioisotope Molybdenum 99. Lighthouse can assist in improving the production infrastructure for this isotope, which is of great importance for medical diagnostics. This makes cancer diagnosis possible without radioactive waste. Stable Isotopes is currently in deliberation with ASML on the consortium aimed at realising Lighthouse.
