Dr Stephen Billingham CBE said: “HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, gave decades of devoted public service to this country and having spoken to him, I know of his interest in nuclear power and the benefits he believed it brings to society. We were saddened to hear of the loss of the Duke of Edinburgh which will be felt by members of the Urenco community in the United Kingdom and across our sites in continental Europe and the USA.
“On behalf of the Board and the wider Urenco community, we offer our condolences to Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this difficult time.”
