Ball des Sports in der Bürgerhalle in Gronau: Ehrung der Sportler und Mannschaft des Jahres 2019

Am Samstag, 11. Januar 2020, fand in der Bürgerhalle Gronau mit ca. 400 Gästen der diesjährige Ball des Sports statt. Die Urenco war diesmal als Hauptsponsor Pate für den Sportler des Jahres. Das Rennen machte dabei Jürgen Langer, der trotz 77 Lebenserfahrung an der Tischtennisplatte viele junge Vereinsspieler das Fürchten lehrt und sich in der Liga schon einen Namen gemacht hat. Zusammen mit seinem Bruder nimmt er auch an Welt- und Europameisterschaften teil und hat schon mehrere Medaillen auf der großen internationalen Bühne gesammelt.

Vor der Ehrung wurde Dr. Chris Breuer von Moderator Ingo Sanft auf der Bühne interviewt. Auf die Frage wie wichtig Gesundheit denn für das Unternehmen sei, verwies er auf das bestehende Betriebliche Gesundheitsmanagement, das die Gesundheit der Mitarbeiter vor Ort in den Fokus stellt. Es gibt seit Jahren das kostenlose Angebot der Rückenschule für Mitarbeiter am Standort. Zudem wurde 2019 eine große E-Bike-Ladestation eingerichtet, Fitnessstudios werden bezuschusst und es gibt diverse Betriebssportgruppen. Gerade die aktiven Mitarbeiter der Tischtennis-Betriebssportgruppe freuten sich über die Ehrung des Tischtennismeisters. Dr. Burkhard Kleibömer, Leiter der Anlage und selber aktiver Tischtennisspieler, ließ es sich nicht nehmen Jürgen Langer nach dem offiziellen Teil des Balls persönlich zu gratulieren.

An dieser Stelle ein großes Dankeschön an die Organisatoren des Ball des Sports und die besten Glückwünsche an den Stadtsportverband, der in diesen Jahr sein 100-jähriges Bestehen feiert. Während der Veranstaltung wurde deshalb auf das Jubiläum eingegangen und der Stadtsportverband dementsprechend geehrt.

Sports Gala in Gronau

On Saturday, 11 January 2020, this year's “Ball des Sports” took place in the Bürgerhalle Gronau with about 400 guests. This time Urenco was the main sponsor of the sportsman of the year. The race was won by Jürgen Langer, who, despite 77 years of age, has taught many young club players to fear and has already made a name for himself in the league. Together with his brother he also participates in World and European Championships and has already collected several medals on the big international stage.

Before the ceremony, Dr. Chris Breuer was interviewed on stage by host Ingo Sanft. When asked how important health is for the company, he referred to the existing company health management system, which focuses on the health of the employees on site. For years now, the free back training programme for employees at the site has been available. In addition, a large e-bike charging station was set up in 2019, fitness studios are subsidised and there are various company sports groups. Especially the active employees of the table tennis company sports group were happy about the honouring of the table tennis champion. Dr. Burkhard Kleibömer, manager of the facility and himself an active table tennis player, took the opportunity to congratulate Jürgen Langer personally after the official part of the ball.

At this point a big thank you to the organizers of the Ball des Sports and best congratulations to the City Sports Association, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. During the event, the anniversary was therefore addressed and the Stadtsportverband was honoured accordingly.
