Urenco Awarded Bronze Sustainability Medal by EcoVadis for Third Consecutive Year

30 October 2025 Sustainability News

Urenco placed in the top 35% of all rated organisations for business sustainability

Urenco has once again been awarded a Bronze Medal by EcoVadis, a globally recognised provider of business sustainability ratings.

This marks the third consecutive year that Urenco has received this distinction, placing the company in the top 35% of all rated organisations and confirming its status as an industry leader in sustainable performance.
The EcoVadis assessment evaluates companies across four key pillars: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

Urenco’s consistent performance reflects its ongoing commitment to embedding sustainability across its operations and supply chain.

Rob Little, Head of Sustainability at Urenco, commented:
“Achieving a Bronze Medal for the third year running demonstrates our steady progress in delivering on our sustainability goals, which align closely with the EcoVadis criteria. Each year, the assessment becomes more rigorous, so this recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our teams across the business. I’d like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone involved.”

EcoVadis continues to play a vital role in supporting Urenco’s sustainability strategy, particularly in assessing and engaging the company’s direct supply chain. This collaboration is instrumental in helping Urenco reduce its Scope 3 emissions in line with its net zero ambitions.

Tony Roberts, Head of Procurement at Urenco, added:
“This recognition highlights the efforts of our team, especially in the area of Sustainable Procurement. With the establishment of our new Sustainable Procurement team, we are driving forward our strategy with renewed focus and energy. The engagement from our suppliers through EcoVadis has been encouraging, and we are seeing meaningful progress in embedding sustainability throughout our upstream value chain.”

Urenco remains committed to its vision of a sustainable, net zero future and will continue to work closely with partners like EcoVadis to achieve its long-term environmental and ethical goals.
