Urenco announces Martin Pearson as Managing Director, Urenco UK

Urenco is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Martin Pearson as Managing Director of Urenco UK (UUK).

Joining later in 2016, Mr Pearson will be based at UUK, Urenco’s UK enrichment facility in Capenhurst in the north west of England.

Mr Pearson has more than 30 years experience in the nuclear sector and prior to joining Urenco, was EDF Energy’s Station Director, at Dungeness B power station. He took a significant role in the operational progress of the site, including supporting the successful life extension programme for the station which is key to the sustainable low carbon supply of electricity in the UK.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Pearson said:

“I am pleased to be appointed as Managing Director of UUK. The Urenco Group plays a key role in the nuclear fuel supply chain and makes an important contribution to the generation of low carbon energy.”
