Urenco publishes new Human Rights Policy

22 July 2026 Global Sustainability

This reinforces our commitment to respecting and promoting human rights across our operations, business relationships and supply chain.

Urenco has published its updated Human Rights Policy, reinforcing its commitment to respecting and promoting human rights across its operations, business relationships and supply chain.

The update follows an externally validated assessment of the human rights' areas most relevant to Urenco’s operations and supply chain, which was used to ensure the policy includes robust measures for key priorities.

These include:

  • Health, safety and wellbeing

  • The right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment

  • Labour rights

  • Security and sourcing risks

  • Access to remedy and grievance mechanisms

  • Cultural, community and Indigenous rights

  • Privacy and cyber security.

The refreshed policy outlines how Urenco identifies and addresses actual and potential human rights impacts through its due diligence processes and reaffirms its commitment to maintaining safe and inclusive workplaces. This includes a range of channels available for employees, suppliers, customers and other stakeholders to raise concerns, such as our independent Speak Out reporting mechanism.

As a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, we strive towards alignment with global best practices. The policy is therefore aligned with internationally recognised standards set out by the United Nations (UN), Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and International Labour Organisation (ILO). The standards can be found in the policy, linked below.

The publication of the policy marks an important step in strengthening Urenco’s approach to responsible business conduct and its commitment to respecting human rights throughout its operations and supply chain.
