Urenco CEO Thomas Haeberle gave a lecture on strategy to MBA students at The Collège des Ingénieurs (CDI) in Paris as part of Urenco’s commitment to nurture the next generation of science and engineering leaders.
Thomas Haeberle, who was appointed a CDI professor in 2014, has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with the Collège des Ingénieurs.
Thomas commented:
“I have been closely involved with the Collège for many years and was particularly impressed when I realised that the university attracted such a great pool of young talent. There are some extraordinary people there and I believe it is important that we support and nurture the next generation of science and engineering leaders.”
Thomas gave some insights into his career in the nuclear industry and what could be learned. He then concluded his lecture with some group work asking the students to imagine they were about to take over the management of a business and to come up with possible strategies to improve the performance.
Vasco Szymanski, member of the board of The Collège des Ingénieurs said:
“We really value Urenco’s support and the role of Thomas in bringing first hand, practical experience to the students.”
The Collège des Ingénieurs is a European institution created in 1986, which, every year, selects outstanding young engineers and scientists from European top universities and develops their management skills. Their management programme is innovative and based on a unique development process of learning-through-action. It has been especially designed to prepare engineering and science graduates for highly responsible positions in the world of business.
