The Head of Compliance and Support Services is responsible for providing leadership and management for the on-going development and effective implementation of UTD’s quality management system, document control, safety, security, export control functions and administrative support delivery.
The main areas of responsibility will include:
Oversee the on-going development and effective implementation of UTD’s quality management system, document control, safety, security, export control functions and administrative support delivery. This includes applicable budgetary responsibility.
Ensure UTD maintains compliance with appropriate rules, regulations and codes, and applicable license requirements through audits, inspections, surveillances and other investigations of UTD and applicable vendor programs.
Ensure adequate level of staffing and capability is maintained to meet the Compliance and Support Services functional requirements.
Support the other heads of functions at UTD to ensure expectations, programs, budget, quality/reliability and safety objectives are achieved.
Ensure an appropriate safety culture and consciousness is maintained through application of sound management principles and professional standards.
Establish and implement long range plans for the department to support long-term business strategies and objectives for UTD.
Represent UTD in front of external agencies and community organizations as needed.
Ensure delivery of administrative support to UTD functions including:
Coordination of building maintenance / IT support
Coordination of procurement support
Meeting scheduling and support
Initiation of new starter processing
Processing of travel and expense arrangements
We are now looking for an individual who can make a difference and add value to our existing Team, the following skills and experience will provide an indication of the types of Team Players we are looking for:
A degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
Previous, proven management experience leading a compliance function
Management experience requiring direct communication with regulatory agencies and other external parties
Previous experience managing through transformation or re-organization
Experience of working with complex procedures, preferably in nuclear or high-hazard chemical context
Experience of strategy development and implementation
Basic German language skills are essential
