URENCO confirmed the appointment of Mr Christopher Clark as Chairman designate of the URENCO Group. URENCO welcomes Mr Clark who will take up his appointment as from 1 January 2006 succeeding Mr Neville Chamberlain CBE who is retiring from URENCO at the end of 2005 having held the post since 2002.

Concerns have been raised by a third party in the United States regarding the procedures for the inspection and preparation of UF6 cylinders. After consultation with the US Department of Transport, URENCO has requested urgent confirmation by the relevant ANSI sub-committee that the URENCO procedures are in compliance with the ANSI standard.
