School science workshops

This area of our website is dedicated to supporting URENCO’s commitment to science and education. URENCO has enlisted the help of ‘Richie Enrichment’ to act as its ambassador for Science and to facilitate communications between URENCO and its younger stakeholders.

One of the ways URENCO and ‘Richie Enrichment’ reaches younger stakeholders is through the provision of free ‘Science Workshops’.

During the ‘Science Workshops’ representatives from URENCO visit the school and, through fun and interactive experiments, children learn about the processes in use at URENCO.  The workshops were initially conceived for primary schools in the UK where the content of the workshop is designed to support the National Curriculum for 9 to 10 year olds.

Due to their success the workshops have now been adapted to meet Dutch and American educational requirements. For more country specific details of the workshops please click here for UK/US or here for the Netherlands. 

The schools involved consistently feedback that the Workshops are an extremely useful tool for understanding science in addition to science teaching. Teachers, parents and pupils give enthusiastic feedback, as demonstrated in the comments below:
