LES Involvement
Corporate Social Responsibility
At LES we cherish the good relations we have built with our local communities. Our aim is to always be seen as a valued asset. We understand that setting high standards of conduct and performance, and then achieving those standards will convey to our neighbors the level of importance we place in this relationship.
Our employees live in the communities surrounding URENCO USA.* LES invests in a diverse number of community organizations covering activities ranging from direct sponsorships and charitable donations to allowing employees time away from normal duties to support local activities.
One example of LES' commitment to the communities we live in, is a group of employees volunteering to do projects for senior citizens in Eunice, New Mexico. This group works on Saturdays doing projects such as yard work, painting, removing trash and home repairs.
Eunice Community Foundation
LES established the non-profit Eunice Community Foundation (ECF) in 2005 to support education and community improvement programs in Eunice, New Mexico. ECF has provided funding to support a variety of organizations and events to improve quality of life.
A recent example is the $10,000 donation from ECF to the Southeastern New Mexico Educational Resource Center (SNMERC). This donation to SNMERC provides hands-on science kits for elementary students in Eunice, New Mexico, and supports New Mexico science standards.

Community Partnership Committee
The Community Partnership Committee (CPC) was formed in March of 2007 to further our goal of being a good community partner to Lea County and the surrounding area. The CPC consists of community leaders from throughout the region. The committee meets bi-monthly with members of the LES senior management staff regarding the status of URENCO USA.* Any questions or concerns CPC members may have are discussed during the bi-monthly meetings.
*The National Enrichment Facility was rebranded URENCO USA on January 2, 2010.
