URENCO operates plants in
Germany (Gronau),
the Netherlands (Almelo) and the
UK (Capenhurst), using URENCO's world-leading centrifuge technology to enrich uranium for the use as a nuclear fuel for civil power generation. URENCO's focus is on providing safe, cost effective and reliable
uranium enrichment services within a framework of environmental, social and corporate responsibility. Our goal is to further increase its worldwide market share and to become the leading supplier in the extended global enrichment market.
URENCO's capacity reached 11,000 tonnes of separative work per annum (tSW/a) at the end of 2008 and 12,200 tSW/a at the end of December 2009. Modular expansion of the European plants, together with construction of the
URENCO USA facility in the US, continues in order to achieve a capacity of 18,000 tSW/a in 2015.
